Kincraig Battery is a proposed 150 MW Battery Energy Storage System (Battery) located on private land adjacent to the ElectraNet 132 kV Kincraig substation in regional South Australia. The project is currently undertaking development and grid connection activities alongside community consultation. The project will assist in firming South Australia’s electricity network and improving network resilience.

The project is being developed as part of TagEnergy’s commitment to facilitate Australia’s energy transition.

Location

The project will be located on private land adjacent to the Kincraig substation, west of Naracoorte in regional South Australia.

Community Information

TagEnergy has commenced environmental surveys alongside community consultation activities. Engagement with ElectraNet is underway to facilitate the connection of the battery to Kincraig substation.

The project team welcomes feedback from the community regarding the proposed project.
