BatteryBattery

Nebo Battery Energy Storage System is a proposed 900 MW, 4-hour battery located on private land adjacent to Powerlink’s 275kV Nebo substation, 7km north of Nebo township.

TagEnergy received Development Application approval from Isaac Regional Council in May 2025 and we are currently undertaking community consultation with initial feedback events held in late 2024. In February 2025, DCCEEW determined that the project is not a controlled action under the EPBC Act. Construction is expected to commence in 2026.

The project is being developed as part of TagEnergy’s commitment to help Australia transition to a clean energy future.
