Forbes Solar & Battery Energy Storage System (Battery) Hybrid is proposed as a 141 MWDC Solar Farm and 100 MW Battery with up to 4 hours of storage located on private land approximately 10 km north of Forbes in regional New South Wales.

The project will connect directly to the existing 132 kV high voltage transmission line that traverses the project site to enable power to be exported into the National Electricity Market. If approved and constructed the land will remain under agricultural management with sheep able to graze amongst the solar panels.

The project is being developed as part of TagEnergy’s commitment to help Australia transition to a clean energy future.
